Laboratories across the country were barred from conducting uncertified tests for typhoid fever

  The National Institute of Health Islamabad has stopped laboratories across the country from conducting uncertified tests for typhoid fever.

In the guidelines issued by NIH Islamabad, it is said that Widal and Typhidot tests should not be done to confirm typhoid fever.

The National Institute of Health says that outbreaks of typhoid fever are being reported from different parts of the country, especially in flood-affected areas, and some laboratories and hospitals in the flood-affected areas are still conducting these tests.
